From Paradise and Method, by Bruce Andrews

How much are we willing to destroy our attentiveness to the way words act and interact in order to gain the advantages of description or of representation and a phobia toward what is present? Centripetal motion is that of imposing contexts suitable for explanatory purposes – is this the one in the “light” of which such actions are intelligible? Those impositions are usually cushioned by grammar (where syntax plays a representational role): without them, the language is a frontage. Not a false front, not a directive screen, but an unencumbered energy. (8)

ITCH AWAY.NET IS UP!

Tuesday, 10th April, 2007

It’s taken me long enough, and it’s finally ready. Textosterone is completely no more, and Itch Away now has its own site.

It’s a slim affair for now, but now that it’s styled and up, I’ll be prioritizing getting more work up there, as well as works-in-progress.

Itch Away will also eventually function as a e-journal focusing on poetics and multimedia. Proper solicitations will follow at a later date. In the meantime, if you have some work which you would consider submitting, please drop me a line ahead of time and we’ll discuss (go to contact on the site). Please don’t attach any work just yet, though.

In the meantime, check it out, play with the work, and enjoy:
